Ok got a bit of a dilemma. Wife now has the 96. It's stock save for a RE 2" BB to clear the 30s that came on it. That is now hers.(she needs a vehicle more than me) As for mine, I found an 86 rolling chassis that had the 2.8 in it. It still has the trans n transfer in it, just no motor. Now, if you were me, would you rather build up the 190Hp 3.4 V6 or rebuild my spare 258 into another stroker. Either way, they're both carbed and not EFI and will be using a Chevy trans (no more electronics).

I think id do the v6 direct bolt into 2.8 trans and no really any wiring harness changes but would deff seek out a better cab set up . Weber would really bring that motor up a few notches .

I see the head guys from concrete companies like Adonel, Cemex and Supermix regularly so I can ask if they need southern route drivers as you know the areas down south.

Was considering the 390 4bbl with maybe a different camshaft for either one. If I went with a stroked 258 again, I'd use a 700R4 trans w/ratchet shifter.
Just as I planned everything out, wife threw a wrench in the brownie batter. Lol
