It also heavily depends on who makes the leaf pack. RE 3.5 leafs are never 3.5 inches. Mine, after 9 months of settling, daily driving and krome abuse, is still raked. It looked like a hot rod when I first finished the lift.

Rough Country 4.5 leafs are pretty much terrible.

You might want to look at 3.5 RE leafs with some shackle relocation boxes - they add about 3/4 to an inch of lift, increase rear flex and improve ride quality.

Those will be my next major mod. That and adjustable control arms and adjustable coil spacers.

I'm doing all RE I got RE4.5 coils yesterday and I'm getting all adjustable stuff and in that case I'll do the 3.5 with the relocation brackets, I think it's going to ride great after that because I'm putting bilstein shocks on it too

Damn you. That's what I should have done first - now I'm working around what I've got to get to that point.

Want to trade XJs in a few months...

What have you don't to fix your heat soak problem?
Usually loose intake/exhaust bolts will do that or a cracked header

Hey 88, if you could please pick me up a Comanche shifter console (like you have) if you find one and I'll give you my Cherokee one for it (yes, I have the cupholder piece and a latch that still works on it too) Comanches are very hard to find up here. Thanks.
