That's awesome! Too bad TBI never really worked enough to catch on.

Yes, the CPS is what controls the ICM/Spark on our 2.5L motors. The TBI injector doesn't have a cycle but injects constantly. The TPS is used to change the resistance/duty cycle of the injector.

They actually worked well but fuel economy/emissions trumps simplicity/affordable systems sadly. The TBI unit is actually very simple to work on. That's why I was shocked when various people tried getting my Mj to run before I got it and couldn't. There's only a fuel pump, CPS, ICM, ECU and Oil Pressure Sending Unit (kills spark if engine loses pressure) Yes it has an O2 and MAP but you can get it to run without those.

Yes 17 years never ran over 195 all day long. Had rust chunks clog two radiators clutch fan got my aluminum 3 core and last one at krome. Rocking a 3 core cfs all metal in there now. New hoses good water pump new belt, no thermostat ,new fan clutch off 2.5 hd new aux cooling fan. Only thing left blocked passages from rust .Or new motor .

10 AUG is coming up quickly! Is there anyone who is confirmed 100% (other than Battle)? There is a few of us making a weekend out of it! They even have ziplines and swings over the swim lake!

Driving down hwy at 70mph truck shUts off and didn't even pop the clutch 2-3 seconds cuts back on like nothing happened the rest of the way but it's only happened during wide open throttle cruising down hwy speeds but local driving shifting gears and moving left and right no problems what so ever

Previous times it'll do a sudden cut off/on backfire but it wouldn't sideline me at all....I'll still be driving no problems after the the quick cut off and backfire
Haven't replaced the dist. Cap and rotor since that photo
