Do you know if I have to make a reservation or something like that to camp? If I do go, I'm going up on Friday and staying until Sunday afternoon. More than likely though, that decision will be made on Friday as ****... I mean life... happens.

Not necessarily. Remember that the resistance reading of a sensor or electronics can change with temperatures. So in short, the short/problem may not occur until the vehicle reaches operating tempature. That's why most good manuals tell you to run the vehicle to operating tempature before checking the resistance of certain sensors.

AIT can be cleaned and is the same unit as used on the 4.0L. You need a handheld vacuum pump and multimeter to test the MAP. The AIT can be tested with just a multimeter. Have you ever taken off and cleaned the TBI?

They're available still. You can buy one for the 2.5L YJ Wrangler and extend the wiring harness to plug into it. This is because the connector for the Yj is directly on the sensor where as the Xj n Mj models have a pigtail with connector. It ranges from 16 bucks to 30 depending where you go.
