Have fun man. The one Sgt and I got to play with the FBI agents at their firearm facility when we were in NJ.

Been a while since I posted here. How's everyone doing? Throwing my xj to the wolves here. '00 sport, 156k, 5.5in lift on 33x12.50r15 d windows. Jeeps in great shape minus the front pinion bearing is bad, ac needs a charge, needs tires and the battery died (I'll replace the battery and I have the spare axle that'll solve the pinion issue) She was a 60 mile round trip daily until I bought a WK. $2500 come get it!

Hopefully the pics worked. Figuring out android from iPhone! Shoot me a txt 561 598 9818

I nearly tipped over in the parking lot area going through some deep water. Came all the way up to my door and was at a 45 degree angle trying to keep 2 wheels on dry so I didn't get stuck.

Without knowing how deep some of these water holes are and no one to guide I didn't want to leave things up to chance. Would be happy to explore the area with a few people next time. Probably going to need to add disconnects too. I couldn't believe how choppy and bumpy it was. It was more like rock crawling for me than anything else. Maybe it's just my setup.

I managed to get through one trail and got out to check the water's depth with a stick a few times. Got eaten ALIVE by mosquitoes.

Would like to find an area that's a bit smoother.

Saw the vid...
You made a left through one of the main trail you went through? If you would've went straight you would've gotten into the main open field...
And luckily after you made the decision to your right in the vid of the 2 lane trail...
That left side had a hole about 4feet low...the day I went in that hole luckily it was dry....and got out of it

NP205 should take you about 1-1.5hrs max to service. It's heavy but very simple.
Sorry guys, between work and constant conference calls with my unit over this ISIS crap, I haven't had much time to talk.

Well, good news is it takes an act of god to blowup an NP205. I had one behind a 585hp 514cid when we used to mud bog back in High School. (Moroso had a track back then that was better than PBIR now) Only thing you ever had to service was the bearings and bushings.

Here's an old trick for his diffs and transfer in our boggers/buggies. We used to take a tub of Kendall Super Blue and a bottle of 75-90w gear oil and blend em together then fill the cases. Any water that gets in really doesn't break down/wash out the oil.

It's mainly through the beginning of that spot but not much throughout the area...but it is a lot...
But a lot of guys used to use that spot as a paintball field so most of the trash used to be shields/walls to hide behind....
And crazy about is that about 2-3 miles down the road is a trash spot to dump all sorts of trash...

Thats what happened to me in the damn parking lot! I was driving parralel to the 137 south bound and there was a huge pool of water. I thought it would be smart to hug the dirt ledge that was at a 45 degree angle. I was afraid of getting stuck and nearly tipped over! I went in smooth and slow, inch by inch things were fine and then BOOM a huge 2 foot drop.

On my way back I didn't dare try that again and tried to go slowly through the center and that was deep enough for it to reach the bottom of my doors.

I think what scared me the most is that i don't know what I'm doing and would really rather follow other guys to learn how to overcome obstacles safely.

Yeah after what happened above ^ I didn't want to risk getting myself into trouble out there alone. I realized I'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff so I figured the smart thing to do would be to turn back and leave after I went part way down a trail.

Well' I just got back from Trail Glades Range.
Those SRT guys for Sweetwater PD, don't screw around.
They ran my butt ragged, but I had a lot of fun.
I learned 3 gun shooting drills, rifle, shotgun, pistol, and shotgun, SMG, pistol.

I got to play with a Barrett .50 BMG rifle.
I don't know what all the fuss is about.
My shoulder still works, it hurts like hell, but it works.

All in all, I had a great time.

Also, as promised, I stopped by 8th and Tamiami Trail, but I didn't see anybody but a bunch of guys on dirtbikes and quads. I saw 1 guy nearly kill himself by popping the clutch on his bike, so I decided not to hang around.
Maybe next week.
