Okay. Quick question. Been doing some reading around about gearing. Now I have a 4 1/2 lift on 33's eventually going to go with 6 1/2 and 35's and I want to know what Gearing I should go with. I'm caught between 4:56 and 4:88's I want it to still keep its highway speed 60-65-70 but still have that low end torque that it deserves haha any suggestions? Or does anyone have like a chart or a mathematical formula?

Guess it wasn't a "Quickie" question haha

The maximum that you gears that you can put Into a dana 30 is 4.88s....
Most guys on the forum run 4.5" and 33s with 4.56 gears for dd driving...
But with 6" and 35s 4.88s would be good but depending how heavy your right foot you could be breaking gears faster that you installed them because of how thin the pinion is....
Gary runs 4.10s on 13" of lift and 38s with a 5speed but doesn't run and gun...
Aslong as you cautiously run your truck you don't have to worry about breaking ring and pinion....

Old Tire Diameter (stock) / New Tire Diameter X Current Gear Ratio = Effective Gear Ratio. IE: 27/35x4.88=3.76:1.
Go with 4.88s for a final ratio of 3.73s.

Also keep in mind he swapped his trans for not only a stronger unit but one with lower gearing as well which helps offset the 4.10 gears.

Yeah I never Rambo my way off road. I've never broken anything. Haha mostly street and highways, some flexing at car shows and jeep meets. Usually just trails
