So question for u all. On the new 99 XJ I purchased last week the power locks are acting weird. I only have a manual key (although the build sheet says it have keyless entry so will have to get a fob soon) when I open drivers door the rest don't unlock (don't know if that's normal) but if I hit the door unlock switch on the drivers side I hear the locks and the drivers side doors unlock but on the passenger side I just hear a click and neither passenger front or rear unlock. I can hit the lock and unlock button back and forth a few times and sometime the passenger front will unlock but the passenger rear never does. Any thoughts on where to start? Window operation is normal so I'm guessing it's not the drivers side switch. Should I replace passenger switch? It's $80 off the bat though so it's kind of an expensive way to see if that's the problem. Any thoughts?

Interesting info, the internal throwout bearing/slave cylinder onour Xjs is the same exact unit used in Ford Rangers.

It's about time you get spoiled with work....
It's well deserved
No difference?
When I compared my internal master cylinder to the external on the Comanche it would've taken some good diy write up to make it work...
What year Rangers?

Good morning all.
I need some advice. Co-worker of mine is planning on swapping the 4x4 drivetrain from a '93 XJ, into an '89 MJ. The XJ is a 4.0 auto and NP 231, and the MJ is a 2.5 with a 5spd. 2x4 longbed. The 2.5 is useful only as a boat anchor, as it's completely siezed, and has a hole in the block above the oil pan at cyl.3. Trans may still be good though.
Besides the mechanical stuff, and the underhood engine harness. What else should he know?
Pointing me in the right direction with links to write-ups, and videos would be helpful too.
Thanks in advance

Double check for adjustment on the passenger side doors might be some gunk preventing the linkage to unlock the doors...
$80? It's a Jy item you can pocket...
