Does he have the complete truck? It'll be a lot easier than sourcing parts....
Motor mounts on frame side are key for the 4.0 swap, for sure he will have to rethreads for the transmission crossmember
Yep. Both are complete, bumper to bumper. MJ has great body, but needs paint, and motor gone to Jeep Heaven. The XJ is a perfectly running beer can, fit only for scrap. I wouldn't even make a mud buggy out of it. But it fires right up, and no smoke, leaks, or weird noises. It drives well, shifts smoothly, and the t-case and linkage are near perfect. We found it up in Edgewater. Drove it out of the woods and onto a trailer 5 miles and $650 later. It had been sitting for nearly 3 years, and the interior shows it.
Internal slave but that doesn't matter seeing as the Master Cylinder is on the firewall. Lol Lol. I used to race Amateur Arena/Tuff Trucks. You sure about that?....
Haha. I doubt you would do anything I wouldn't do. I'm pretty hard on jeeps. But being you used to race you have even more of my trust. Haha.
It's normal for not all doors to unlock when you just unlock just your drivers door... Double check for adjustment on the passenger side doors might be some gunk preventing the linkage to unlock the doors... $80? It's a Jy item you can pocket...
Thanks for the info. Yeah the passenger side feels super tight to even lock by hand so u might be right about the linkage. I'm gonna pull it apart this weekend and take a look. I'll have to JY search for the switch just don't know many in this area that have XJ's

Back in the 90's (1996 for me), as long as you were at least 16 with a valid learners permit or licence, you could race on the three local tracks. We had dirt circle track for car events and truck. My buddy had as 86 Monte Carlo w/305 and I had a 78 F100 w/351W. It was fun until the big money guys ran everyone of the "budget class" out.

Well..if Odumb*** and his cronies don't take all my tax return, Lee Keen (family friend, Owner of No Ugly Tire) is going to hook me up with a set of Wild Country MTX 32x11.50R15 (made by Cooper) for 165.00 a piece mount and balanced! What do y'all think of these?

I seriously almost bought those. I got these Kenda klevers for 619 for the set. Delivered. Mounted them myself.

Those tires look good...only way to really know is to buy them and try them out...
Long time that I haven't been here (account says since 2013 damn). So apparently I got myself another black XJ, well for my younger brother.
It is a 2001 4x4 with 220k miles but runs good and it was super cheap because it did not start. I replaced the starter and put on some free wheels (ugly) and 31" tires and it is good to go. Now to fix the little hiccups, and rubbing. Plan is to put it on my JK stock wheels and a small lift to clear them.
The reason I sold my previous XJ. I went to the JK life (actually JK #2, the first was a basic 2 door):
