The motor mounts are welded in?!. No.. As for crossmember, thr AX4/AX5 crossmember is different from the AX15. Why do they need another crossmember?

You can still get motor mounts. Also Brown Dog makes a set as well. Your pic looks more like a trans mount bracket that the mount and exhaust hanger bolts to.

Some of the 97+ had mounts like on the Wrangler. Hell, all the 2.5L blocks are the same so if anything, bolt a set of old school (Regular) 2.5L mounts and brackets on it.

Good morning guys. Nice one Walt. Whats with your headlights? Ordered new UCAs and poly bushings for my axle. I don't know why everyone all of a sudden has a hard on for 4BT swapping. I must have gotten 4-5 calls on "How much will it cost?" And "I want that engine." Honestly, a TDi swap is cheaper and easier not to mention it doesnt weigh as much as their Jeep.

Might have to check the connection on the passenger side headlight...
Those poly ones are good?
I thought the 4bt were always famous just no one is is experienced to swap it and the $$$$ to acquire the parts....
The tdi conversion is new but same as always the experience to swap it...

I saw the price on a tdi swap as a kit, that was way too expensive for me. I'm super interested if anyone knows how to do one cheap

5500 if you need the engine supplied and about 2k if you have one already. Thats not bad. Hell of a lot cheaper than the 4BT.
