I've been a fan since game one. Went to their first no-hitter (pitched against the Rockies) w/ Armstrong as the pitcher. What a game! I lost some interest when they renamed the team Miami Marlins, but they're still my team.

Walt, you have wayy more patience than me to drive down here everyday. Lol

I don't know how you guys do it. I left there in '03 and it was bad THEN. Came back down in '06 (just after the hurricanes ripped through broward county, mind you) and it was WORSE. Can't imagine it now, 10 years later.
There are a few things I absolutely miss about S. Florida.... traffic is DEFINITELY not one of them.

Patience! Lol
Luckily I have the opportunity to have no traffic going to and from work...
Except when it rains and when accidents occur...then pushes my normal route and additional 30-45mins out the way...

I'm back!
Hello everyone! So about two years ago I got rid of My xJ. And I could not stay away from the sickness so I bought it back from the gentleman that I sold it to. Check out my build thread. I've updated it somewhat

And little history on me. I am a certified tech. Although I haven't tinkered with anything in over a year since I'm in sales now at a jeep dealer, so I'm just now getting back into everything and refreshing my memory with everything that I've learned.
So I need help with the new issue.
When I got the jeep back I had the whole no bus issue. The gauges were all over the place the radio was intermittent sounds would come from the stereo when I would put my turn signals on and the headlights wouldn't work. It ended up being the ground strap from the head to the body under the hood.
I fix that and now everything's fine in that aspect.
Now when I am driving and the jeep gets hot (operating temperature) when I pull up to a red light and come to a complete stop the jeep shuts off. Even at 5 miles an hour at idle it shuts off. I noticed it while driving off-road last night in low RPM it just shuts off. It doesn't do it if I drive from Kendall back to Fort Lauderdale and stop at a red light. Once I'm off my exit. Only when I'm in stop and go traffic or off-road and just going slow for a while. Once it starts doing it it will do it every single time I stop and don't keep my foot on the gas. But it's fine if I let it sit for a while to cool off.
If I keep my foot on the gas it doesn't misfire and runs smoothly. Right before it shuts off it feels like a mess and that it just dies without much warning
These are the codes I pulled
P0700 Transmission fault Present
P1391 Intermittent loss of CMP or CKP
P0352 Ignition coil #2 Primary Circut
I cleared the codes and the issue went away for a little bit. I think it might be a crankshaft position sensor. But I'm not sure. I ran all the diagnostic checks with my snap on scanner on all of the relays and IAC, TPS everything is working as it should. All the injectors are pulsating as they should
I'm sorry for the essay I wrote here but I really need help as this is my daily driver again and I need to get to work LOL

Could be a CPS issue, but it sounds more like a variant of heat soak.

But when it shuts off does it turn back on instantly? Or you have to wait awhile until it starts again good?
As far as the heat soak, this is an issue with the later model 97+ 4.0s
Most use heat shield tape and wrap the fuel rail and the intake to prevent it
Looking good!
