He said no to the conversion. He said he doesn't know what a locker does or what that means structurally. So...

Tell him you need to change the gear oil and while you do that just slip in the locker because you discovered you had a broken spider gear. If he doesn't know mechanics then you could get away with stating that the inner upper planetary gear on the viscous differential spider gear shattered and that the replacement is a new gear planetary viscous coupler device thingy (aka LunchBox Locker).

Hmmm I could. But I have a better relationship than that with him.

Well just wait like you said unti he gives you the title. For now you can be strapped if you get stuck, not a big deal.

^ This.

And once he gives you the title, pull the fuel pump relay. Say you don't have a clue but theres a shop that specializes in only Cherokee repair, not upgrades. They'll even tow it to the shop to diag it for free. Give us 2 days with the truck, and we'll plug the relay back in... and if it so happens to leave with a front axle, t-case, and trans, then it is what it is I guess.

And side note -

Awesome wheeling today, thanks to Miami Offroad Club for having Karnage out. And thanks to Aerosync for keeping me company as usual... even though my seat was randomly covered in stuff from time to time... wait, that sounded dirty....

wait....

it was.

Between the BBQ and all the shenanigans last night and the wheeling today, great trip!

Thanks to all who came out last night and hung out and thanks to all who showed up to ride with me today. After my incident Friday night, a good weekend with my friends was just what I needed!
