And it's a .17 Mag, not a .22 that I normally carry with me...It is all ya need at 100 yards, promise...For the smaller things in the freezer...lol
Just outta curiosity... What's the law on that? Do you need a CCW to have a shotgun or a rifle in a car?

There is a fine line but as long as they can see it and you tell them about it first thing it is not concealed...for hunting and recreational purposes...

It's way different with the pistols and carbine rifles...You have to have a CCW for that, don't think there is any way around it...

My experience: Tell them about it first thing, unload it if load before you stop(not while he's walking up to the car!!), and never make any sudden moves after you stop and they have recognized that you have a weapon. I always have asked to stand by their car or on the curb, so they know I'm not going to try anything stupid. They have always respected this in my opinion!!!

So best to leave unloaded with a shell near by. And that particular law is written in favor of the gun owner. Forget the statue but I was asking because I figured you had first hand experience.

Your choice, mine always has a mag in it, no matter what...Maybe not one in the chamber but that way I only need to **** it and shoot, or just release the mag and put it in the console if the man decides he wants to talk to ya...

So he can tell you what you can and what you can't do...

I am just telling you what I know from reading and getting my CC permit and experience's I have had in the past...

He will know the law and how it really is...
