The timing is not adjustable on your 4.0s it's controlled by the ECU. So check the plugs, wires, cap, rotor or coil first. Now the timing chain could be worn out.

Multiple sources told CBS4 that the entire incident started as a carjacking. CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald reported the original call was of a man dressed in all black with a high-powered weapon firing as he walked on the median on the turnpike.

One local LEO took a shot to the neck. The second officer, and ICE agent (fed) was shot in the shoulder. ICE agent projected to be okay, no word on the local LEO.
