If you do the cowl, make sure the filter is on the passenger side where the cowl is blocked. This way, water has a chance to get out via the drain holes.

Unfortunately for us we don't have 15 inches and 38 to keep us out of the water but the cowl intake at least moves it enough to keep water from splashing in

One of the vents in the cowl is a fake vent. Just put the intake under the fake one. If your cowl is underwater you have other problems
