I personally hate the look of the full snorkel. This is the same thing as the cowl snorkel that comes from the air box. It's just as effective as the $160 ones that go across the engine which are pointless. This pulls directly from the cowl which is cold air. Besides, I just did a water test here at work an 0, absolutely 0 water gets in that cowl on the open spot. The way it designed doesn't allow water in even though it seems **** backwards.

I've seen some cowls that work, and some that fail. Cowls are logical here, and so are snorks. I guess it's just personal preference.

After all we all know you need a lot more then a snorkel to be 100% safe. And I don't think anyone in the thread plans on driving thru lake O.

I might be interested in getting a rear for $225. Who's the expert around here that helps install these for beers and highfives?

There is a 2 part how to vid on youtube that makes it look really easy. I cant give a link right now because i cant load youtube at work, but if you search "LOKKA" it's one of the first videos up there. there is also a video of an XJ with no lift and one of these in the front having a little fun.
