Its pretty much straight forward plug and play, but i would recommend a wire harness upgrade.

Oh, I know! I desired the $400 light assembly at 1am for an 03 Rover. I have HID, LED lights all in my car. I used to wire my blue lights and strobes from scratch. I made a harness. Just tapped one factory harness.

Just wired puddle lights on my jeep. Rewired a set on a 09 Suburban.

I do lights and sound. I posted some pics. Let's just say, my boss has deep pockets and we have a electronic's supplier!

Dre, where are you located? I think I miswired my Sub but I have no idea what I did wrong ... maybe you can point me in the right direction. Gonna be at the Meet-n-Greet on Sunday?

I'm located in Clementon NJ, right off Rt. 42 near just about everything in SNJ. I have seen some of your XJ's around before.

Idk where the Meet and Greet is. I could, subs are the easiest to wire, hardest to adjust. Use a 12v wire straight to the battery or a strong battery source, the remote wire needs to be connected to the aftermarket radio remote wire or a hot wire that is on when the key is in the run/acc position. A great ground is needed.... As long as the red is red and black is black, the sub will operate right. Are you doing RCA out or splicing from speakers? If speakers, you need a hi/lo converter. It's an eq, if you may, that taps into the speaker wire with RCA out on the other end. It has two adjustments. I think gain and hi/lo freq. Once everything is connected, it SHOULD work!

nah ... see, I have a 10" dual voice coil cubby sub & I took it out to do some more insulation in the enclosure. I removed the speaker wires, then re-wired them when I was done & turned the radio on. I got a loud crackle ... scared the %$#!!~ outta me & I turned it off. Been off ever since! I didn't want to fry my components, even tho they're cheap. I can send you a pic of how it's wired.

Well, I use mine in single voice. Blew one side with the 1000 watt amp. But it made shire it sounded good. Use one side. You single channel or bridged? Bridge it if it is a two channel. Dual voice is probably better is you use one channel per voice or bridge the two channels on a cone. Always turn it down and start at the radio and then at the amp. To get a great sound, it will take fine adjustments when you play a range of music.
