Why certainly! You're cool in my book. BTW since you are in Canada do you like Rush, or Trailer Park Boys?

Yeah it sucked for me. I was running a little late so I missed my regular train, and I was just closing the door to my office when the hallway lights went out. Building management had the building evacuated so we all wound up out on the street (with temps approaching 100), no shade, no water, and a half a pack of cigs (when I used to smoke). Didn't get home until 3am (Amtrak pulled off a hack of rerouting power from Jersey into NY Penn to get the trains (all Electric Traction, no Diesel's allowed in the tunnels) running). Got to ride in the new Amtrak Acela train home via a slow crawl since signaling was out. For now on I carry a small go kit in my backpack. Oh and for those folks who solely depend on a cellphone. The only thing working was Nextel's PTT (that's how I found out it was a massive blackout, she was shopping in a Sears store. Since I live far enough South I wasn't affected. She went into the Appliance section and saw the newscast. I also now make it a point to carry my Ham Radio HT in my pack as well. Not only can I communicate, but it also have a general coverage receiver in it (AM/FM broadcast, Shortwave, and can act as a scanner).

Apologies for being longwinded...

TPB rocks (let's go to KOD, get drunk, and eat chicken fingers). A buddy of mine from Halifax turned me on to them years ago. As for Rush different strokes for different folks. Alexisonfire has a different sound. Have to check them out more. I do have great respect for Neil Peart being a fellow drummer. My musical tastes are all over the map. I pretty much listen to everything. Mainly rock though. As for the Blackout of 03 everything works out, I wound up making about 20hrs of OT that weekend alone so I had a bunch extra money for the vacation I was taking two weeks later.

I take you like hitting things with sticks, or just hitting things in general?

1slo_Camaro I'm going to guess since you are in Cape May you are a Shallow Water Sailor?
