If you go on Facebook n look for offload central the guy who owns that (name) is hosting it an has all the info on there for ya
They're meeting at 8 at the sheetz in centeralville an driving up as a group.
Just thought I'd throw that out there

Michelin Latitude for $685
Michelin LTX M/S for $880 but worth it.
Bridgestone Dueler Alenza $695 I can save you $70 on these but probably not until after the new year.
The LTX will get you thru a lot. The latitude is a great tire just not going to do as well thru mud and snow.

It looked more like a vert ramp. I was waiting for the skateboarders lol.. I can't be mad at him for going out there, I mean look at my XJ. At least he hit the mud and had some fun.

here let me requote that for you.... *Find a small shop who doesnt care about their inspection liscense and will halfass an inspection for you, but when the state does their yearly inspections on the shop or sends a hacked car with issues to them secretly and shuts them down (almost happened to my best friend) then you wont have anyone to go to*
there ya go

i had good friends of my dads about 10 years ago the state really buckled down on state inspections, and if you find a shop regardless of how small they are then you are really lucky and they are dumb, or your taking a huge chance. ive also heard of people who were denied tags because in between the time of their inspection and them going to get tags the shop was shut down.... so dont be a cheap *** and go to a quality shop

No, don't rephrase that for me. I meant what I said. I did not say to find a shop that would look the other way or in some way cheat the system or let something slide. I said to find a small, reputable shop that cares about you as a customer. They want your repeat business so they'll be honest with you and not tell you something needs to be fixed when it really doesn't, or vica-versa. The shop I go to truthfully tells me exactly what is wrong, if it can wait a few months till I have the funds or if it needs to be fixed ASAP, and gives me the option to do the work myself. They know if they give me a bill for a bunch of ridiculous things to fix, that I know are BS, I won't be coming back.

I just went through in Aug. of this year. I got nailed for parking brakes, valve cover leak, exhaust leak, vehicle pulling to the left while braking, and shock bushing. The pulling to the left was BS, if they were doing the inspection speed of 20 mph per comar 11.14.02.03 it would have never pulled. Fixed the exhaust leaks, replaced parking brake pads and shock bushing. As far as the oil leak, it was spillage from when I topped off my oil. A little degreaser fixed that problem. Took it back, argued the brake test w/ the mechanic. I tagged along and at 20 MPH he hit the brakes. Lo and behold, no pull. Went back to the shop and was issued my sticker.
What got me into this conversation was that the statement was made that a modified vehicle will fail. IF it conforms to Maryland Law, there is no reason why a lifted/modified jeep will not pass.... mine did.
If you believe that your vehicle failed for no reason, take it to the local State Police Barracks. They will confirm or overturn any issues you may have with your inspection.
As far as an inspection shop closing, and MVA not issuing tags because of an inspection through that shop, I would have to see it to believe it.....
