Oh, and I trained my supervisor. He said "Your truck--oh, I mean your Jeep..." I told him it's okay to call it a truck now, cause it's a pickup lol

Your sig should read....

"Surely you can't be serious!?"
"I am serious, and don't call me Shirley."

Looks like it's only 15-20 minutes for you.

Don't know if I can get there that early, but I'll try. I'm planning to change all my fluids that morning at Classic's house.
Not the infamous "fluid exchange"

I originally diagnosed a stuck valve listening to the tapping coming from the engine. The discoloration on the exhaust valve confirmed that. Took it one step further when I got home last night and valve stem is broke.
No carbon buildup on exhaust valve = Stuck/burnt valve.

Lower end is in EXCELLENT SHAPE # 5 cylinder had minimal scoring from valve stem fragments working it's way through. Could still see honing marks. Will be magnafluxing head to see if it was cracked or not.

There may have also been oil delivery problems to the upper end, all galleys were clear, pushrods were clogged.

I'm still not 100% convinced that this head is cracked, the PO got screwed on whoever did the job before Mava aquired vehicle.
Since we had head off, made perfect sense to put on a head that had no known issues.
