I found him!! Glad you came over, Austin. great lookin' rig.
Someone wanna back him up on this? You definitely seem to know what you're talking about, but I like second opinions. I liked my 10, but the one I had couldn't handle high power. May go with two 10s if that's the consensus. Mind if i come by today to check it out? JY plans were cancelled.
As for me, we got the cap off and my oil changed, and Seafoamed it. So. Much. Smoke. Tried to do transmission fluid, but the bolt is spinning in place. Tried to pry with a flathead while turning, but I couldn't even get it that far out. Pics when I get em off the phone.
I have 2 12s in my Lexus. They are JL audio, the only sub I use. You can listen to it. They are powered by 150watts. In a pickup, it would be insane. My 18 hits hard but the 12s probably are louder. I haven't measured them. I really think 2 10s or one 12 would be good.

Subs move air. The more surface area the more air. Think of it this way, 18=18, 2 10s=20, 2 12s=24. This is why I'm sure my 2 12s are louder than my 1 18 even though I haven't measured it. The other factor is the space it's moving in. My 18 home sub sounds a lot louder than my 18 in the jeep because the large waves have more room to move. Ever go to a store and listen to subs, they sound great and then you throw them in your car and your like WTF happened. Always try and listen to subs in your car before you buy them. If you get an amp you can hook up my two 12s to get an idea of what they would sound like.

You could come by. I'll be home all day after 2-2:30.
