been searching the forum.. and no really good answer so figured i would ask here.. will a TJ motor fit in an XJ of the same year? or other 4 liters, mine is a 97.. i'm thinking of it just as a long block swap... any and all input appreciated...

thanks..

as my black beauty is acting up. just gotta find the time to evaluate it. but if i can find a motor for a good deal gonna pick it up.

Really excited about seeing it. Even if I don't like it, I have two designs I do like that I'd appreciate input on. I'll wait til I see yours, though, so I don't change my mind AGAIN

thanks , was hoping it would. i had guessed, it would just be swap over all XJ brackets and goodies. Not sure what is up with mine. But figured if i can locate a good priced working motor, better to have on hand.

thought of that also. just know sometimes it is Russian roulette on the JY ones also. When the JY says engine no accessories, that is oilpan, block and head, t-stat cover and valve cover correct??
