I'm beginning to consider JCR rear 1/4 armor and line-x'ing them and the fenders, then I can just go grab any color fenders and cut them right

I won't be going that soon, but yes you can replace/cut/bedline. Don't have to worry about scratches, and I think bedliner accents look great on slate XJs.

That might be the ticket, I'd already planned on lining the sliders, door bottoms, flares and bumpers. **** it I'll just do the entire lower part of the truck

all my trim from fenders to bumpers is the cheap bed liner from walmart. it looks awesome. besides, it only cost like $25 dollars to do.
