It Mountaintop Rd or something like that. It connects US15 to Gambrill Park Rd. Mostly just a long gravel road, but I've found a couple spots for poser pics. It really isn't special and those pics were all I got in over an hour, but I make it look good lol

Sunday I'm off work at 7am. Any time after 9 is good with me, and I'm off Monday so sleep doesn't matter.

New guy here from baltimore co. Just picked up a 1 owner 72k mile 01 xj sport for two hundred bucks with a clean md. title. Previous owner overheated it. He blew the headgasket and after i removed the head i found out the head is cracked and a piston is damaged. Now i'm pulling the engine, my local machine shop is gonna hone the cyl., replace the piston, piston rings and bearings for $350.00 Any info for finding a good usuable 2000 or 2001 head is appriecated. Is'nt it funny how projects snowball! lol!!!

Thanks. She is in good shape except for the engine work thats needed and a dent in the drivers side rear door. New tires and brakes. Real nice interior and she's never been off roaded. I work as a auto tech and i have a rollback that i run in my offtime, the previous owner did'nt want to repair it so when he heard that i buy vehicles for scrap he offered it to me for two hundred bucks, but she is too nice to scrap and at that price i got a killer project. Anybody know where to get a good used or a re-manufactured head?

It's a couple little spots over a few miles of road outside Gambrill State Park. Looks like me and and 96xjclassic may be going out that way Sunday if you wanna come along. Just some poser pics, but it's better than nothing.

EDIT: You're too quick for me. lol

Go to pretty much any junk yard in your area. Any jeep 4.0L, 1996 and up I believe, will have the same head. That included wranglers and grand cherokees. Shouldn't be too hard to find something

Thanks mickey00xj, thats what i thought, but 01 is distrubterless so i think that only 00 and 01 will work, but i could be wrong. I've seen plenty of 99 and older on CL and junkyards.

I'll have to show you guys the spot off meadow rd. it takes you on the back side of lake liganore. There is a pretty viscous turn and drop. Some downed trees and some rocks.
