So let me ask this, if I disco the front drive shaft, pull the axle shafts out and plug the axle holes can I run this way for a day or two, only a 3 mile drive to work, until I get my front axle u joints replaced? My driver side one is clicking pretty bad everytime I turn and I don't want to blow it up and cause other issues and I doubt I can tear everything apart, replace joints and have it all back together in a night.

I just checked the manual....
If you are reading empty with a new unit, more than likely the float is stuck.
If you have a Ohm meter, measure the resistance, it should be high.
If the system was shorted out, you would be pegged at the full mark.

but newer jeep are already higher than older jeeps. mines a 96.
im gonna have to level out the lift i guess since its only 3" in the front. but i already have a 3" goodyear wrangler gsa that im gonna use as a full size spare tire. and no need to go for massively expensive tires first go round.
