So let me ask this, if I disco the front drive shaft, pull the axle shafts out and plug the axle holes can I run this way for a day or two, only a 3 mile drive to work, until I get my front axle u joints replaced? My driver side one is clicking pretty bad everytime I turn and I don't want to blow it up and cause other issues and I doubt I can tear everything apart, replace joints and have it all back together in a night.

Good answer Mike, and I suppose if I drain the diff there's really no need to plug the axle housing.

Hey Green...

I just checked the manual....
If you are reading empty with a new unit, more than likely the float is stuck.
If you have a Ohm meter, measure the resistance, it should be high.
If the system was shorted out, you would be pegged at the full mark.

im gonna have to level out the lift i guess since its only 3" in the front. but i already have a 3" goodyear wrangler gsa that im gonna use as a full size spare tire. and no need to go for massively expensive tires first go round.
to my knowledge, all xjs have the same stock height. steves is brand new... so it is prolly more than 3.5 right now

phew... anything else guys? and i came out with a second version of the headlight harness... so that means only one relay, and less wires that have to be run. just saying. [EDIT] that is if you want daytime running lights[\EDIT]

oh and about the price thing we were talking about (pudgy) a couple pages prior, im more interested in parts for my rig to trade for labor.

Here is mine with different size tires. I have a 3" rough country. Coils and full leaf packs.

31x10.5 No rubbing after trimming fenders.

32x11.5 once I'm bump stopped correctly I hope I don't rub anymore. I only rub off road.

33x10.5 rubbed a lot. On road and off.
