If you go with a pre 99 head, you'll have to change exhaust manifolds / get an adapter and fabricate mounts for the coil packs.

Try to find a 03+ 4.0l head. It doesn't have the casting flaw that causes the cracking. Its stamped TUPY between cyl 3 and 4.

Is the 2003+tuby head a direct bolt on, no modifications? Can i still use my new fel-pro head gasket kit and new fel-pro head bolts for the 2001 head with the newer tupy head? Thanks Veeb0rg.

Tried to PM you earlier, your inbox is full. I was the one with the ZJ w/the yellow hood and fender. You passed it coming into the play area.

Going back up Nov 12th for those that missed this one....

I've not done the swap, but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night..

You should be able to use the same gaskets with the TUPY head. It still is an 0331 head it has just had the design fixed.

3 of the videoas on my Kodak Playsport were corrupted from this weekend. Managed to get a partial recovery of them, hope to have the full recovery done in a few days.

Some of the video shot of me coming through the rock garden

As you guys check out the different junkyards, can you keep an eye out for a 4 cyl XJ with a complete front differential.
Thanks
