Jeff's new XJ should be good to go once we get the RMS in. My boy Brenon is gonna let him park it at his shop right down the street from where he's buying it from and he's gonna let us use his shop to get all the work done so we have a lift and everything when we tackle it.
That's awesome! That's really nice of your boy Brenan. Let me know (if Jeff doesn't already) when / where it's going down and I'll help.

TC doesn't matter
Thanks man. So the yoke on the diff end is the same for both242 and 231 drive shafts ? Is the drive shft different on the tc side ( different spline count or length)?

If your alternater is good and battery is new, need to check your starter if it not making any noise. I had to change the starter on all three of my Jeeps...

Yeah I've changed in once but it's been awhile and many miles ago.

try just taking it off an cleaning the contact surfaces between it and the engine block - that's how it grounds. Also check all your other grounds at the same time.

Is it clicking or anything? Interior lights?

Lights, radio, windows all worked with both old and new batteries. There is no sound when I try and start it. Is there something I should use to clean the contacts?

nah just sandpaper and some brake-kleen to remove any grease/oil. It's the mating surfaces you're cleaning.
