That is what you younger guys DON'T understand....
With what I make, anything over 60 hrs goes right into Uncle Sams pocket and 401K ....
At 60 hrs I take home =/- $1300
At 72 hrs take home = +/- $1500
At 84 hrs take home = +/- $1600
That is at $36 an hr after 40

I couldn't do 60 or more hours a week. I work about 45-46. No overtime but Its not needed. Starting manager at Costco is at least $58k now. Not a bad deal if you can handle retail. Cool thing is I could transfer and not have to take a pay cut. That is probably some where in my future. Wife wants a farm.
I feel you Mike. This economy is killing me. I'm at 32/hour base and 46/hour for Saturdays and 64/hour on Sundays, but if I work both days I bring home barely over what I do just working 40 a week, stupid ridiculous taxes. Doesn't help that my wife is a stay at home mom and I take college classes all week too, so overtime usually isn't in the cards anyways. Oh well, tis life.

If the plant behaves, 60-72 hrs a week is gravy. Never works out that way though.....
Trying to get my wife back in the work force now. She did work for Royal Farms for a month, but here again the economy came into play. They run skeleton shifts and just threw her on a register with no training. That extra money she had coming in really helped...

Since I am the only Shift Supervisor who put in a full year this year (one's supposedly leaving next week) should be enough this year to finish off the major projects on my ZJ and start the XJ on it's way...
If it wasn't for that, my Jeeps would be bone stock....

Luckily I get a production bonus every year, so we use that for our jeep projects

sweet deal, one thing you are going to need to grab is a bi-metal holesaw for 1.5" so we can notch it. Homo Depot should have them.
