prep i'd probably handle myself, or knock it out quick with you guys. I'd want the jambs done and the underside of the hood itself done, but not the engine bay or interior.

Well I wanna spray the entire thing with fresh paint not just the 2 doors and new fender, there's quite a few scratches on it.

Also, is there a line-x close to that slate blue color? If so I'd be even more intersted in that

oh and i plan on bedlining the rear quarters and lower rockers from the door fold down, so no new paint needed there.

A Line-x dealer can mix a blend with the color toners and get a damn close match to the OEM color, I dont have access to toners unless I buy the whole set of toners which last time I checked is about 4K.

What I am doing for Tim is spraying the bedliner I use on his exterior and then painting over with cheapish Urethane enamel for easy touch ups. I could do around the same thing for you but if you wanted the slate it would have to be Basecoat/ clearcoat *BC/CC* which is harder to touch up.

I need to check, but I know the ZJ's had an issue with a screw on the computer, just wondering out loud if the XJ's had the same problem.....your issue is the same one I had last year on my ZJ....no start but power to everything else...
And I am planning on stopping by Sunday afternoon before I head home from Frostys to throw on new valve cover....
After we spoke I had to go out and bring in rest of groceries and ck my spare. The interior lights were back on, but as soon as I turned key, lights died. When I turn key there is nothing, no click, no clack,no nothing. Have to check out spare today because I got sidetracked by this handsome 1 yr old and forgot what I was doing.
I know you said you would be here Sunday with valve cover, but I was hoping that if one of the other guys could check it out before Sunday, than we would have a diagnosis prior to your arrival. Was kinda thinking ahead just in case I needed parts or something.

You cover paint, you can go the Tim route and go with Urethane Enamel for easy touch up. Paint will run you 2-300 bucks Ill PM you about labor

Your intake and exhaust will bolt right up - no issue whatsoever.

the flexplate you can buy from any auto parts store. Just make sure it's for a 97. Personally something like a flexplate i'd buy factory stuff. The one you need is Jeep/Mopar part# 52118551.
thank you sir, then just need to get on your waiting list for injectors.

sounds like you need some new battery terminals to me. Try wiggling them and see if the problem goes away!!! Clean them up with baking soda mixed with water at the same time.

Mascott,
Anyone in your developement have tools??? If so, have them take a socket that is a little bigger that positive terminal, and tap (not beat) down on it and let me know what happens....
Thinking back to the last day I was down there, and what you told me yesterday I think that may be the problem....
Thanks for jogging my memory Dukie lol
