^^ agreed. Great guy - he really didn't even drive the thing before selling it, certainly not off-road. He changed the lift components out for better ones and fixed a cooling issue, and that's about it. I'm sure he had no idea what problems would arise from the previous owner.
And sorry, but a tire blowout is not because of him (or the truck) either - **** happens.

just saw this. I was having the same issue. I replaced the axle u-joints and it didn't help. On Saturday at Frosty's I was replacing the u-joints on the front driveshaft and found the center ball socket was shot. I called around to get the entire yoke, but no one local can even get them.
Here's a rebulid thread:

Here's a link to get the entire rebuild kit minus a u-joint. You'll need 3 total for the front driveshaft.

I haven't caught up yet for today, but can y'all relax with that? Seriously. Frosty, I understand why you're pissed, but Kevin's been on this site a long time, and he's a good guy. Besides the problems you've had with the Jeep, nobody else has had trouble with him. He's the one who got us the MD Jeep stickers in the first place, and he sold them to us cost.

What I'm upset about is the fact that he looked me dead in my face and told me mechanically it was completely sound. I've tried to contact him with no response. You guys think what you want. I knew where 2 other and MUCH nicer XJ's were for the money Kevin was asking and me being me I tried to help Kevin out and sold mike on his jeep and now I'm standing here looking like an ******* and Kevin is afraid to man up and at least contact me

From what I've been told it's easier than a full SYE kit. Don't have to break the case open, everything is done in the jeep with most of the original parts, quick and, well I would say easy but not so sure about that. Good luck bud.
