When I first moved here, I spent a lot of time doing all the civil war walking trails around Frederick. Very interesting stuff.

I've been there a few times....
The quarry in Frederick was the Confederate Winter encampment.
The landfill up there was the center of the Union Winter Encampment....
You are also close to the battle of South Mountain, Antietam, Battle of Cramptons Gap....
1/2 of my collection is from the Battle of Cramptons Gap, have a farm up there I detect that was the Union's right wing...

I've only been to Antietam and I was only a teenager so I didn't care about it then.

I always liked Antietam around Christmas. They light 1 candle on the battlefield for every fallen soldier out there....

They will have the re-enactors out at Gettysburg Jul 2-4..

I can't bring myself to watch nascar, I would rather watch paint dry. My friends talked me into going to the dover race way back when and I fell asleep, nice 3 hour nap.
