The heat function on the mirrors worked before the roll. Obviously, I can't guarantee that now, but they were fully functional.

They want to open up a theft claim, separate from the damage claim. Then they said my deductible is higher than the compensation I would receive, so this likely won't result in any compensation.
I told her once I signed the title over to them, it was their responsibility. I also pointed out that I never received compensation for the stereo equipment in the total loss reimbursement because they said it's a "preference item" that doesn't affect the value overall. All she could say was "I'll look into this for you."
Mike, I'll need to know what day and an approximate time of when it was delivered. I also need to know if he signed for it on delivery, and if the vehicle was sealed upon delivery.

I have the pictures of the Jeep after delivery. I will get date, time, and find out if Rob signed for it....
Other that the small tear (My guess is that rollback driver had to unlock steering wheel and put into neutral) Everything was jammed/locked/sealed....
Will e-mail everything later this evening for you....

As far as parts.....this was a "soft roll", I was really surprised at the condition overall of the Jeep

Keep on the Insurance company, they definitely dropped the ball, and are going to do anything to CYA

You may want to re-think that statement. I have a softball size hole in my rear floor where my muffler got pressed up against the floor while offroading and burned right through the metal floor pan and the carpet. Now I have a heat shield like the one in the photo. BIG difference. I do not recommend removing yours if you have one. If you're worried about it falling off just put some bolts though it up through the floor.

Steel melts at around 1300*
Mufflers can get upwards of 300*
Only takes 4-600* to get glowing, and with thin guage that is a BAD thing....

For those still using YouTube, it sucks, you can get away with using music for a short time by renaming the music file when editing the video but e eventually the sound and/or video will be disabled.
You should give vimeo a try, much better IMO

PS I have a gopro that I can rent for a right seat...(maybe it will motivate my 4wd conversion)

lol yea my super 40 came with a piece of paper written in BIG letters that it would get extremely hot and to make sure it was shielded correctly.

...I ignored it...

I did some research a while back and was amazed at all the Nike sites around here, and wondered how the hell they got rigs back on these country roads to get all the equipment back there. Closest one to me is about 15 min away and its a two lane, low tree clearance windy back road in woodstock, MD. Considering it was all hush hush too I assume it was all moved at night, Wonder how many trees they knocked into the road lol. On a side note, amazed at how the Government uses the land now. Most of the ones I went and visited to Ubex is all state police/ state swat training grounds
