how many are you thinking of running? mind you they are 100w's... 400 watts up top? besides, how often are you going to use them? most of the wheeling in md involves low trees, etc... and you can never run them on the road... i dont see the use for them. unless md is a desert state with lots of dust...
I agree with Jake on this about the use of rack mounted lights. The highest I would mount them is on the pillars. ALso it says that it doesnt come with a relay which you need. So add on about $70 for a relay rated for the power they are going to draw. For that price you can find PIAAs on sale like I did which are A: brighter B: all wiring is included with a relay.
I got a pair of PIAA 6 1/4" 135 watt lights for 200 bucks.

I would prefer to get just lights, and not a kit, because I want to do the little metal toggle switches because of where I'm going to mount the switches, also plan on putting in a master switch. My brother in-law is a guru with stuff like this, and he's ganna help me wire it all up and such.
My rack will have a built in lightgaurd as well. I want 4 uptop because I think 2 would just look dumb, and I'm just picky with stuff like that, just how I am.
Appreciate the suggestions/comments though, actually helped a lot

true....and I do want to upgrade the alt and wiring.

You can run whatever switch you want even with using their harness. Instead of splicing into the factory harness as they call for just run the power wire from the relay to wherever you want the switch and use a metal toggle or a rocker switch or a foot switch or whatever.

To save you some cash I probably have enough wire at my shop for you to wire everything up. I have plenty of 12 and 14 gauge. Just a few feet of 1/0 gauge left from my second battery install.
