My '92 Z28 will be quick one day lol. New motor is going in next week, but it isn't as strong as I wanted due to budget constraints. Oh well, more room for improvement.

yea...that came directly from the IB rep.

FYI IB was hit by a DDoS attack today. It was another site but affected a cluster of servers which in turn affected many databases. Issue should be resolved and performance should slowly get back to normal as the evening progresses.

Yep, people suck. From now on, if CF is down, I'll try logging into my Camaro forum that IB owns. Wonder if they're on the same server..

Whats the new motor, how is it not as strong as you wanted it? If you get the money and can get it here from home I could throw some parts on/in it for ya. Built the whole motor that is in my pickup. Forged aluminum SCAT crank and rods, knife edged and balanced, new cam and main bearings, dual plane aluminum intake, Edelbrock performer heads 2.02 intakes 1.96 exhausts, comp extreme energy cam 520 lift 299/319 duration 112 degree lobe separation, full hydraulic roller cam and rockers, Holley 750 4 barrel all to make my 408ci Windsor

I still don't know engines, so all that went over my head. We're dropping a crate motor in it. I was shooting for 400HP/425TQ, but I can't afford it right now.

Its cheaper to drop parts in yourself if the block is in good shape.

The old block was fused cause the PO blew a piston, then let it sit for 16 years...and failed to mention it. I figure it'll be better in the long run this way, but I'm gonna have to learn what I'm doing. My focus right now is just getting it back on the road. Still needs a new windshield, maybe a new transmission, and I wanna put air bags on the front so I don't scrape driveways and speedbumps.

Old Army buddy offered to buy it for $1k back in Germany, but I have no idea if he's still interested. I'll see what my dad's friend (the guy doing the work) wants to do with it.

Oh, and once it's running well, you're gonna have a new paint project. PO touched up the scratches with black gloss rattlecan. I wanna go flat black with metallic silver stripes.

I'm headed to work. Alex, you can email me if you wanna keep talking about it. Don't know if I'll be on a computer at work, though. Depends what's going on today.

Mike, same to you if you get my message.

Yeah i know. the 87 IROCs had the 350 in it. not the fastest thing, but it could put the ricers in their place. those foxbodies were fast in a straight line, but not much else.
