is there such thing of a muffler that doesn't really quiet the exhuast at all? like running without one at all, but reducing the drone at higher RPMs? and maybe putting a little tone on it as well? of course with that it wouldn't be as loud without a muffler, but I wouldn't mind running the exhuast out the side for shorter piping
you have mufflers, and you have resonators, resonators dont muffle, but you still need a muffler, they change that high rpm thing your talking about,

and changing the headers and down pipe is where your going to get more power, but sound wise you can do what every one else is saying

there's no point...why run two mufflers? choose a muffler based on the sound level you want and be done with it

i didn't say 2 mufflers, said resonator, or does that replace the muffler? oh well. I'll probably switch to a 44 and 2.5" piping

no it's in addition to the muffler. Go with that plan you just said - however the 44 may be even louder than mine. Dunno if you're looking for that much noise.

lol, thats what i said the first time. i have the super 40 now, but its 2.25" and stock piping. would upgrading the piping to 2.5" without changing the muffler help much? or doing that and adding a resonator be good enough?

for me changing just the tailpipe to 2.5" and no "crinkles" made a HUGE difference in sound.
