can you put an SYE kit in before a lift? how long would it take to install first time doing it?

i believe the answer is no, because then you're driveshaft would be too short, and a longer driveshaft would be too long for stock height.

you need a new drive shaft with an SYE ? i thought just an SYE?

And you need to get a double cardan driveshaft (what the front shaft is) because you are eliminating the slip yoke on the output shaft. You have to have a slip somewhere, because the distance between the output shaft of the transfer case and the nose of the differential changes as the suspension cycles.

Another front driveshaft comes in because it is a double cardan joint, and the slip is moved into the shaft of the driveshaft.

Kuz has the idea... but think of the name... Slip Yolk Eliminator... you have to get a different rear driveshaft. If you dont get the right driveshaft, when your suspension cycles, the driveshaft can bend, mess up seals in the diff and rear of the TC, or fall out.
