I just chuckled... everything else on his truck is stylish, driveshaft wants to get in on it.

I thought you already did yours... and you gotta pay dukie. Not saying you shouldn't. He knows his stuff.

As far as rust... welcome to md. They dont give a shìt whats in the salt. Little recap...

242 can do a full sye... but almost no one makes them. I know tom woods does. Hnt is just as good (if you think about the forces involved) as a full sye.

231 can do sye and hnt. The market is flooded with 231 sye's so they are relatively cheap.

IRO "refurbished" front drive shafts are just de grimed and spray painted black. Better to find a good condition one at a junkyard, replace the joints, do your own overhaul. That way when if it breaks, you know how to fix it.

If anyone has any proof that iro driveshafts are more than what i said, i would like to know.

And since i started this post, since im severely dehydrate and on the toilet, my legs and feet have gone numb... fūck

Yes as long as you have a drive shaft to install with it. Probably 2-3 hours I believe.

Follow his write up and it should take about 1-1 1/2hours. I did it in 1.5 and I had no idea what I was doing. I did need to get a fuel line quick disconnect tool because I have a 98.

It's really easy. I have never done anything mechanical on any vehicle ever up until a few weeks ago. I've changed the alternator, starter, serpentine belt and fuel injectors. If I can do it my 10 year old daughter can do it. You should be fine. His write up is a big help though his pictures won't be quite the same as your engine.
