agree with Dukie about the scoring on the *cylinder bores* Useless knowledge for the day "blocks don't have sleeves unless they have been repaired or they are aluminum"
also it may just be the angle of the picture but are any of the pistons warped? the one looks egged but its prolly just the picture. Run your finger nails up the bore and you should feel cross hatches, if you don't that's what is causing all that oil on the pistons. The rings cant get a good seal unless the bores are cross hatched... All these things are easily fixed, unless that one is egged then you have to have it trued up.

I think we've decided to just swap engines because he needs it up and running ASAP, and his current one we'll take out and rebuild and stroke
