Hey guys, long time no post
Been unemployed due to this damn strike, which is still going on, so my head has been elsewhere. Did go to big dogs ice breakers and had a good time there. Since then I've done a little work to the xj including new home made shackles and doorless mod. Also made some mirrors that mount on the hinges so when i run doorless I'm still legal. I'll post up some pictures.

Default Cowl Snorkel

I got most of the way through my cowl Snorkel today. I used marine exhaust hose for most of it. I am going to eventually build a small box inside the engine bay like the Thor intake. Had trouble finding a filter to fit in the tight space under the cowl. I ended up using a fram filter that I found at pepboys. I can't say I really notice any power gain, but definitely no loss. It sounds pretty cool!

Nah, the kids ride back there and the wife isn't too thrilled of the thought of them being back there with no doors

I did mine the same way, or similar. The cowl is closed off on the passenger side, plus it has drain holes to keep water from entering the defrost system
