The cowl is only open on the driver side so hopefuly there will not be much water up there. I intend to put a waterproff prefilter over the washable filter once I find the right size. Im going to play withe filter box layout a little to hopefully prevent the rainwater from sucking in. They do make a inline water filter as well

I used a 3 1/2 inch wide by 7 inch long k&n in there, then used 3 inch entendable plastic tubing to run it to the throttle body. Works pretty well. Pain in the *** to get the filter in there and get it tightened down to the tubing though

Yeah its a Suzuki. and the Cherokee is getting parted out. He's keeping axles, wheels and tires, drives shafts, transfer case, transmission and using it for a yj

He's been wanting to for a while and the frame cracked so it gave him a reason to. The frames are stronger. I'm keeping my Cherokee till it dies, then id love to have a bronco
