sometimes direct shorts or bad grounds will make it fluctuate like that. or what is more likely is a motor going bad or the regulator crapping out and putting a severe load on the motor

I also read that a speaker that is in contact with ground will make a constant thump sound, which all of mine are doing. You can actually see the speaker hit, almost like bass hitting. My buddy has a nice kicker amp he's gonna let me borrow to plug in and see if mine is toast.

I totally understand your physical limitations. Does anyone have space for my xj until the swap can be done? I'm not sure if it's cool to do it in the current location. I've been making calls about getting it removed from Joppa but I need to know where it will be towed too.

That is really what we need.
We will have to get someone to pull the engine out of Tim's so it can go with your rig when it's towed. That HAS to be done onsite in Joppa. I know no other way.
Rob (Kuzi) has said he'll tow with a proper headsup.
Then we just need somewhere to take it for a few days while it gets worked on.
We need a volunteer driveway and a couple guys to go yank an engine.

as for the space. if you guys have the equipment and depending on how long it will take, I could ask my parents if you guys can use my place to do the engine swap. be easier for me towing as well.
