at what point do you need an SYE? I know at 3" it's okay without it, and at 4.5" you need one. IRO has a 4" kit with an option to add the 3.5" rear leaf packs. http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merch...egory_Code=PFX

is SYE necessary or just a nice to have option at that height?

i believe it is necessary. think 3.5" is the tallest height you can get away without one. I would just do it. it's not a super expensive mod. especially for a needed one at that.

Get one. Each jeep is different so you won't know until you try but I would get one.
