If Jakbob shows his face he knows the exact mathematical bs behind it but it has to do with the specific ohms resistance and its perfectly balanced with a 18' cable.... It was a reoccurring theme in all my research into CBs before I bought mine. I can make you a tail light bracket like mine real quick if you want, ill snap a pic when I get off work...

seems like it's a myth (somewhat) because they forget an all-important adjustment factor that is dependent on the type of cable used (losses and whatnot), which makes perfect sense to me.

mmm looks like the RG6 cable I have won't work well for a CB since it's 75ohm...damn...
well he said it came with a cable just one connector was broke, so i think i'll buy a new connector and bring the tools so I can re-fit it there

a crappy suction cup mount, an assortment of stick-ons and one to attach it to round tubing. I can easily rig up a magnetic mount if you don't mind a magnet on your paint...
