sounds like a massive wiring headache. 99-01s require a bypass module too to make the truck think there's a key in the ignition.
Best Buy installs them though...and they fix it if it breaks/doesn't work

I hear ya, Mike. Just got off my third consecutive night shift this morning, and i start three day shifts at 6am. All six shifts are 12 hours ![Thumbs Down](https://www.cherokeeforum.com/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)
Not gonna live that one down, are we? ![Lol](https://www.cherokeeforum.com/images/smilies/lol.gif)
I have a gas tank skid I pulled off a ZJ. Classic and I already cut off the lip, so it's XJ-ready. I don't plan on putting it on any time soon, though, so if someone local wants it for $50, we can work something out.

I thought only the ones with the gray key needed a bypass? I've got a 99 with a keyless entry remote but the key is black. Are you sure that I still need the bypass?
