stock questions again?
Not to get back into stock/original questions but from the research I've read this is definitely stock. Is this an easy self fix? Where does one purchase the fabric? Is it a PITA and better to let an upholstery shop do what they do best so I don't wind up cursing away a beautiful Saturday afternoon?

There are a million write-ups out there in it. It is not impossible, not too difficult to do. You have to remove all the trim around the headliner, seat belt upper bolts, visors, dome light, etc.
Once all that is removed, the headliner slides out in one piece.
Strip off the old fabric, scrub all the tacky foam from the headliner board with a stiff, dry scrub brush.
Once prepped, cut your fabric to size, glue the fabric side and the board side, carefully assemble.
Carefully cut holes where things need to bolt through the headboard....kinda like you are wrapping a present.
Once done, let sit to tackup, and re-install.
Once all that is removed, the headliner slides out in one piece.

I am not related to or invested in some way in this gentleman's business but i like to reward good service when I get it so if anyone in Montgomery or PG counties ever needs detailing work at reasonable rates I would like to recommend Hirofumi "Hiro" Kureishi, cell 240-355-2370. He did a nice job inside and out and engine compartment.

I was the guy's first ever customer with my wife's Matrix when he first posted his business ad on Craigslist. When he showed up yesterday he damn near hugged me and was like "ohhhhhh, first customer, you my first customer". Charged me $80. I had that on me so I didn't have to go to teh bank but next week when he comes back to do my G20 I'm going to tip him. It is well worth more than that and I think even when I was his first customer I paid more than that. I felt a little guilty at $80, but I'm raised Catholic, I feel guilty when I sleep with my own wife.
