Tinting your tails is not illegal per se...however, it may cause you to fail MD inspection. It is up to the inspector and the officer. There is not an official "taillight tint" charge in the Maryland Traffic Article (what you get cited on if you get a ticket). If the cop is a **** (or if you are a **** to the cop) he might give you an E.R.O. (Emergency Repair Order). It is not a ticket, but it requires you to fix the issue, and then have it inspected by another police officer. If you fail to do this, it will suspend your registration.

haha, I know brother, I wasn't trying to disagree with you. I am a cop in my real life, and people always ask me the same question. Like "isn't tint illegal?" The inspector's (MD Safety) answer is always "not unless it's darker than 35%." But we don't have a way of measuring it on the street, so (at least where I work), if I can see the outline of passengers (for windows) its good. For tailights, as long as they can be seen from 300-500 ft you should be good...

Not quite 130, Iraq was worse for the heat. It is hot as ***** here, I think it got up to like 105 today, but with pants, shirt, f***ing 65 pound vest and so on, its a wee bit hotter.
