SO, bought RescueGreen after Safford Jeep took $100 for a "prepurchase inspection," paid to fix the Fan Control Module to get the AC working, they fixed the airbag recall issue (free), and had them do the fluids for drivetrain and transmission because it is going to sit for a few months...

They told me everything else is good other than the hubs/bearings, ball joints and u-joints. They wanted $1,800 to fix that, and PO just had them fixed so I thought they were trying to milk me.

Buddy of mine picks it up today and low and behold, battery is dead. Safford jumps it, buddy drives to gas station, say speedometer isn't working and brakes are ****ty. Fuels it up, battery dies again. F***ing Safford. Gotta love it...

BLUE JEEP IS DONE!!!!

exhaust, the belt, and everything else needed is now done. now monday hopefully we'll take it over to get inspected, and hoping to have it tagged and driving this week.

went from this

to this

instead of replacing the whole tailpipe we just cutoff right by the rear hanger. and used the clamp to hang the pipe and put the pipe together. then I put the tip on so it looks nice.

also changed my buddies oil. and shirey started painting his relocation brackets while he was there.

plenty of wrenching room, and soon I'd like to have a meet and greet at the farm for some wheeling. what day would work better for people, a friday, saturday or sunday?

XJ's run hot as a whole. It should have a 195* thermostat in it. It should run about 210* in the summer and about 195* in the winter.

It's probably fine for the summer, however you wanna change it out before the cooler months. It will give you warm at best heat and I'm surprised you haven't noticed a loss of mpg. Check next time you fills up and calculate. I bet you're getting horrible gas mileage.
