So it looks like the ZJ tie rod will bolt right up to the XJ. Am I correct in this assessment? I'm going to the JY today for a parts run that's why I ask.. Maybe picking up new tires as well, not from the JY.

You want a V8 ZJ tie rod. It does bolt up, and it is glorious. I have mine painted, sitting on my patio, waiting for my lift so I can throw it on with my new tires.
