I believe ibu is often exaggerated. I love ibu though. The higher the better.

Jimmy, there is a great place in Frederick on 7th st. Called Ye old spirit shoppe. You can buy an empty 6 pak box and sample any six beers you wanna try. It has an amazing selection of unique stuff. Good prices too. If they don't have it. They will get it for you. Save yourself the trouble and check it out.

At Three Floyds we often hear rumors about what is happening at our brewery. Some can be annoying, some quite entertaining.
The following can be categorically denied:
• The brewery burned down.
• We’re moving Darklord Day to the United Center.
• We’re canceling Darklord Day.
• Gumballhead is going back to a seasonal only beer.
• We’re stockpiling beer to drive prices up.
• We’re pulling out of Wisconsin (Indiana, Kentucky, Chicago…).
• We’re changing our recipes.
• We’re moving the brewery to Illinois.
• We’re selling our brewery to Duff beer or any equivalent brewing company.
The following deserve some explanation:
1. We’re expanding distribution to Ohio.
This is true. However, Ohio only receives limited release, specialty beers (Seasonal releases and one-offs). Ohio does not drain Chicago and Indiana’s Gumballhead or Alpha King supply. Adding Ohio allows us to increase production on limited release beers which benefits all markets.
2. Our beer is hard to find, not because of demand, but because our pub takes it all.
As a small regional brewery, it is impossible for us to keep up with demand for our beers. Our pub does sell each of the beers we produce but the overall volume sold through the pub pales in comparison to what we ship to our distributors.
