Where I was parked, on the street is marked two hour parking Mon-Fri, 9-4. I leave my apartment at 10:50 and when I get back at 12:10 after doing some Christmas shopping the same rock star parking space was open. Now I could of parked on spot back but that would mean that the next person would have to go through the hassle of parallel parking. So being a considerate person, I pulled forward into the spot that I had earlier in the morning.
An hour and half goes by and I go out to move my XJ and I have a 52 dollar ticket. The ticket says that I was parked there from 9:22 (says that the tires were marked, I didn't see any markings) till 12:45.
I went into the building and the manager of the place shows me the surveillance system that has a clear video of me leaving and coming back, with my XJ in full view of the camera when I returned. So I got a copy on CD and I got the receipt from the store across town so that I was there at 11:45. I figured that I would be able to win if I took it to court, but when I called to contest the ticket the women said that there was a rule stating that you could only use a parking spot for two hour once every calender day.
Has anyone one heard of this or had to deal with it? I will be getting the RPP as soon as I have a second piece of proof that I live here. Apparently a signed lease isn't enough.
Yes I have heard of the two hour once every calendar day. I got a ticket and tried to contest it and couldn't. I did the same thing you did

Sounds like fun Unfortunately that is over an hour from my house. Maybe I'll make my way up there at some point.

Could be worse. I just got my Welcome to Frederick when someone broke into my Jeep to steal my piece of **** MP3 player and a ****ing pack of gum. I may be in Josh's shoes soon, cause if I find out who did it, I'm gonna shoot him.

oh...well so far from what i can see from the city code, they are full of **** and I shouldn't of gotten a ticket. And I just noticed that the ticket states I was parked on the south side of the street, but the video shows me parking on the north side. So no matter what I should be good. glad i have two years of law studies under my belt, hopefully will be getting into law school next fall.

A friend of mine kept having his muscle car broken into. To fix the issue he mounted a kill switch under the door that allowed a direct feed from a high voltage coil to the doors. After using it for a couple weeks, no more break ins.

That's the first thing I thought of, and I'll be doing something like that soon.

On a better note, I measured my leaf packs.
Eye to eye, straight: 49.5"
Eye to eye, around the bottom leaf: 53"
Ground to arch (upside down): 8"
5 leafs in each pack.

Also picking up my new headlights tomorrow from the post office.
